Tejaswini Pandit

Details: Daughter of veteran theatre and film actress Jyoti Chandekar, Tejaswini Pandit originally from Pune, began her acting career in films through Kedar Shinde’s film ‘Aga Bai Arechha’, playing a negative role. This was followed by another film ‘Natha Pure Aata’. But, after that she did not receive good offers from films. So, she performed in theatre and anchored a music show on television.

But, year 2009 and 2010 brought her back to Marathi films with 5 films released during this period. ‘Wavtal’ and ‘Mee Sindhutai Sapkal’ were two films, in which she gave wonderful performances as leads actress. She has also won popular MATA award for her performance in 'Wavtal'.

Simultaneously, Tejaswini also performed on stage and television serials. Her performance in Marathi drama ‘Vaishali Cottage’ won her prestigious Zee Gaurav award in 2013.

On 16 December 2012 Tejaswini tied the knot with her childhood friend Bhushan Bopche. Tejaswini’s forthcoming film ‘Candle March’ has invited all the attention.
