Swapnil Joshi who became a popular screen lover boy, after his performances in films like ‘Duniyadari’, ‘Pyarwali Love Story’ and ‘Mitwa’, looks at his profession in a different way. This was noticed when we met him recently during the music launch of his forthcoming film ‘Welcome Zindagi’.
This is what he had to say, “I do some films for my personal satisfaction, while others are done to entertain the audience. Particularly, in ‘Welcome Zindagi’, I tried to satisfy myself, besides offering something different to the audience. This film has given me a lot of self satisfaction, besides happiness. Now, how it has helped me, you will have to watch on screen when the film releases on 23rd June 2015.”
But, what is so special about this film that has made him emotional?
Swapnil has an answer to that. “Many a times, we only hear about making a film on a particular subject. But, actually, nothing materializes. However, for the making of ‘Welcome Zindagi’ on a different subject, Mr. Ajit Satam, Sajay Ahuwalia and Vibhas Chaya took a further step, which has to be highly appreciated. Even Umesh Ghadge, while directing this subject, based on suicide, tried to show, that even this subject could be interesting with songs and dances.”
Swapnil was however reluctant to reveal the central idea of this film’s story. He gives a diplomatic answer. “Personally, I feel that it would not be proper to reveal the story of this film. But, I would certainly say that it has a new subject, which will appeal the audience.”
In this film, along with Swapnil, there is a big star cast comprising of Amruta Khanvilkar, Dr. Mohan Agashe, Prashant Damle, Rajeshwari Sachdev, Vivek Lagoo, Pushkar Shrotri, Urmila Kanetkar Kothare and Mahesh Manjrekar.
