And, when Yogesh Vinayak Joshi narrated me a one liner of the story, I thought that I can make a film on this subject. One small boy whose name in Altaf, runs with a toy in the shape of Lord Ganesha but, he doesn’t know that there is a bomb planted inside it. The terror spreads through this news. This is what this action packed film is all about. Naman Jain has played this role of Altaf.”
When asked, whether his film had participated in any film festivals, he informed, “Yes, the film received appreciation at Melbourne Film festival and that boosted my morale. Even at ‘MAMI’ film festival, the film received good response. Now, after releasing the film on September 25, 2015, we shall think about participating in other film festivals. At present, I am keen to see, how the audience would respond to this film.”
Ganpati Chaturthi is nearing and therefore, there is enough scope for the film’s promotion. When Punarvasu was asked about it, he said, “Yes, we are seriously thinking about it. Nowadays, there are many Marathi films, lined up for release. Hence, ‘have to think differently, while promoting our film, so as to invite the attention of the audience.”
Finally, when asked about the beautiful toy of Ganesha used in this film, he explained, “This toy was prepared by a youngster called Kapil Dev, while (sculptor) Ankush Kambli explained us, how to use it. Now, I only wish that this toy turns out to be the plus point of this film.”
