You can't always be selective about your roles - Prarthana Behere

The production of Marathi films is on the rise, thus increasing the newcomers and also offering more opportunities to existing artistes. We asked Prarthana Behere, what she feels about this phenomenon, and the gorgeous actress was quick to say “Oh yes! Sometimes while chatting with my friends in this field, I get to hear about the new films launched on different subjects and the selection of artistes. I am really surprised about it, but we need to accept this trend. At the same time, you can’t always be selective about your roles. Fortunately, I am getting ample scope to prove my ability through different types of roles.”

 

When asked, what’s coming up next, she quickly reacted, “I am very happy to note the overwhelming response received for the promo of my forthcoming film ‘Mr. & Mrs. Sadachari’ with Vaibhav Tatwavdi, on social networking sites. So, I can say that I have selected the right film.”

 

In 2015, Prarthana had four releases. When asked to comment on their success, she said, “I am glad that two of the films, namely ‘Mitwa’ and ‘Coffee Aani Barach Kahi’ received great success. But, you can’t always expect success for all your films. Sometimes, a particular film doesn’t do well. This happened with my film ‘Tujhya Vin Mar Javaan’. Some films have to be accepted as a professional need, similar to what happened with ‘Biker’s Adda’. It is only after going through all these ups and downs, you establish yourself in this industry,” she concluded.
