Maharashtracha Favourite Kon 2013

The main theme for this year’s award function was Marathi films competing with Hindi films. Anchor Swapnil Joshi tried to prove how Marathi cinema was superior to Hindi, to his co anchor Pushkar Shrotri, who played different parts of a black marketer and an auto rickshaw driver.

There was a contest between Mrunmayee Deshpande and Manasi Naik. While Mrunmayee presented the dances from hit Marathi films, Manasi  presented the  dances from Hindi  films . There were dance performances also presented by Sonali Kulkarni, Ankush Choudhary and Santosh Juvekar. Film ‘Duniyadari’ dominated the awards for this year. There was a good crowd, showing the presence of many dignitaries from Marathi film industry. Popular evergreen actor Sachin Pilgaonkar also shaked his legs on music, admitting that he began his acting career as a child artiste with a Marathi film.

There were some good humor filled skits presented by popular comedians like Vaibhav Mangale, Bhau kadam, Nilesh Sable, Pady kamble , Atul Todankar, Anshuman Vichare and others. At the end of the day’s celebration, Mahesh Manjrekar entertained the audience, admitting that it was his last appearance as he really enjoyed anchoring the show, on past five occasions.
