Pune Via Bihar

When a minister from Bihar decides to marry off his only daughter Tara ( Mrunmayee Deshpande) to his party chief's son, she refuses to give consent to the marriage and elopes with her boyfriend Baldev (Sunil Kumar). Tara's college friend, Abhijeet ( Umesh Kamat), who secretly loves her, plays the good Samaritan and promises to help them get married. Little do they know of her father Ramlal Yadav's ( Abhay Bhargav) political connections. Using his power, he ensures that the couple faces hurdles and is unable to marry in Bihar.

Meanwhile, Abhi comes up with a plan to escape to Pune and get them married there. Again they misjudge Ramlal's reach as he orders encounter-specialist PSI Nimbalkar (Bharat Jadhav) to bring Tara back. What follows is a classic tale of love, escape and friendship which takes a twist when Baldev backs off following a threat to his father's life.
