It is not necessary that a good story can always make a good film. To make a good story appealing, the screenplay of the film has to be good. Latest released film ‘Bai Go Bai’ produced by Pradeep Kacher Patil & Naresh Ganpat Thakur, lacks in presentation of its screenplay, though the film has offered a fantasy set on the backdrop of a village.
 
The humor-filled story of this film happens in a small village called ‘Nayakanchi Wadi’.  The head of this village is Baijakka (Nirmiti Sawant) whose order is final in this village. She issues an order that none of the male members should sport a moustache. The reason behind this is a story from her grandmother’s time, which has influenced her since her childhood. Baijakka just wants this order to be strictly implemented. Soon we find a magician entering this village, to perform his shows. He falls in love with Baijakka’s daughter (Shital Phatak). How this magician, with the help of his associate, play their tricks, to break the rules of Baijakka, is what the film’s remaining story is all about.
 
Nirmiti Sawant dominates in the role of a strict administrator. Through her suitable get up, she has been able to portray this character very well. Nayan Jadhav has found the lead role for the first time and he has played this role with ease. Shital Phatak impresses through her glamorous role. In the supporting cast, there are many artistes like Vijay Patkar, Shashikant Kerkar, Jaiwant Bhalekar, Poornima Ahire Kende, Prashant Choudappa, Poonam Kher, Prabhakar More, playing limited roles.      
 
In this film, all the artistes have skillfully spoken the language in rural accent. The court of Baijakka, where she takes all the decisions, generates ample humor in the film. The film’s story and direction are by Vijay Pagare, while the concept has been designed by Mandar Gaidhani. Vijay Gatlewar has composed the music of this film on the lyrics of Subodh Pawar & Subodh Phatak. Their one item song is very appealing.
 
Though the idea of this fantasy is good, it would have been better if the screenplay was more appealing with good quality humor, to make the film more appealing. This film may appeal to a rural audience, as the film offers just about average entertainment.
