After Gautam Pradhan (Swapnil Joshi) and Gauri Deshpande (Mukta Barve) left sparks flying with their chemistry in Mumbai Pune Mumbai (Part 1), we find the family members of Gauri and Gautam coming together in ‘Mumbai Pune Mumbai- 2’ to fix the marriage of the couple. Accordingly, time is given to the young couple to understand each other. But after meeting her ex-boyfriend Arnav (Angad Mhaskar) again, Gauri starts comparing the behaviour of Gautam with Arnav. She remains undecided whether to marry Gautam, though she likes his family. Finally, she takes a wise decision in order to make her family happy.
The film has been presented very well by director Satish Rajwade, with the help of a good screenplay and crisp dialogues courtesy Ashwini Shende. Avinash Vishwajeet’s music has also played an important role in this film, with good art work by Nikhil Kowle and perfect costume designing by Pallavi Rajwade suited to all occasions in the film. Fine performances by Swapnil and Mukta need a special mention. They have received good support from a big team of artistes. Prominent among them are Prashant Damle, Mangal Kenkre, Vijay Kenkre, Savita Prabhune, Aasavari Joshi and Shruti Marathe.
The film however slows down post the interval, with some of the scenes stretching beyong necessities, especially the long climax scene. All in all, the film is a worthy watch, as it offers family entertainment combined with emotion filled drama.
