The trend of remakes of South Indian movies is very common in Hindi films. Now, our Marathi film makers have also started that practice. The recently released film ‘Time Bara Vait’ produced by Vijay Gutte and directed by Rahul Bhatankar is a prime example. It is a remake of a Tamil- Malayalam bilingual film, released two years ago. The film speaks about the importance of time and fate, which plays an important part in human life. How an incident somewhere thousands of miles away, can disrupt the life of a person in our country; this is what the film’s story is all about. How he overcomes this particular situation in his life, is presented in a gripping manner, through the film’s screenplay.
So, we find Rahul (Bhooshan Pradhan), a man worried about losing his job in a Thane-based multinational company, at a time when he has the responsibility of getting his sister married. He does so by borrowing a loan from a Don-cum-moneylender Bhai Raja (Satish Rajwade) with his friend standing as surety. But, Rahul also faces trouble from his girlfriend Priya’s ( Nidhi Oza) father Joshi (Sanjay Mone) who cancels his daughter’s proposed marriage to Rahul, as he has no job. Priya stands by Rahul and both decide to get married. However, trouble begins for Rahul, when Bhai Raja and his men come after him for recovery.
Once this chase begins, we notice several other happenings, with the arrival of other important characters becoming part of this story. The climax of the film is shot well. Technically ‘Time Bara Vait’ is a well-presented film, with good performances coming from lead actor Bhooshan Pradhan, villain Satish Rajwade, Police Inspector Hrishikesh Joshi, Sanjay Mone, Bhau kadam, Vishwajeet Pradhan and others. The gripping screenplay, wonderful cinematography and superb background music make this film worth a watch. The film is certainly good for a change, especially to those who love to watch action films.
